Patrick Daniel Gervais fell in love with movie-making as a teenager, using his first camcorder to animate his childhood toys. He made his stage debut in high school as Alan in the play This is a Test. He hoped to get a degree in chemistry at university but found performance more compelling than math class and earned a BFA in theatre.
